TRITOP - 3D Coordinate Measurement Technique Using Photogrammetry
OVERVIEW

TRITOP is an industrial optical measurement system used for the highly accurate non-contact measurement of 3D coordinates of discrete object points. This mobile technology offers time effective onsite measurement for quality control and deformation analysis.

Relevant object points are identified with markers and the object is recorded by a high-resolution photogrammetric camera from different directions. Based upon these digital images, the TRITOP Software automatically calculates the 3D coordinates of the adhesive markers or object features.

TRITOP Photogrammetry System

TRITOP is used for objects up to and over 10m. The system achieves measuring accuracies of 0.01 mm per 1m object size. The TRITOP software can handle several thousand measuring points and allows the use of different recording devices.

Applications

  • Generating a precise and absolute reference point system for use with a full-field ATOS Measurement
  • Variance comparison of the measuring points to CAD for quality control
  • Deformation analysis of components and prototypes
  • Setup control of fixtures and holding devices
