| The Version
5 software is developed in close cooperation with our established
customer base. We modernized the interface, use the full
power of the available PC hardware, streamlined the process
and added new features. The inspection functionality, the
remote control, the macro functions and the batch job allow
easy automation and a very efficient, user friendly and
customized works with our measuring systems.
Now all users can profit from this developments,
which perfectly fits the requirements on high-end optical
measuring solutions.
Accurate data gathering enhanced in version
5
Based on stereo viewing and the reference
point method, the ATOS scanner is able to validate the internal
calibration and the data quality in each view. The resulting
data is therefore accurate and reliable.
The ATOS II scanners can be set and calibrated
from a measuring area of 1.7x1.4 meter down to 45x36 mm
(in one view) by the customer, using the certified calibration
tools provided by GOM.
Big objects can be accurately digitized using
the combined ATOS and TRITOP photogrammetry technology,
developed and offered by one supplier

Polygon Mesh Generation
- Automated alignment of all single measurements.
- Optimized removing of overlapping data based
on viewing angle and digitizing conditions to create
high quality meshes.
- Curvature based thinning of the data to minimize
the amount of data without loosing accuracy and
details.
|
| Polygon Mesh Treatment
- Enhanced editing functionality on mesh data.
- Optimized hole filling including curvature based
algorithms.
- Data reduction with fast curvature based thinning.
|
 |
|
|
Sections
- Sections can easily be defined in multiple ways
to support traditional surfacing or quality control
applications.
- Editing functions to further improve the section
quality.
- Import and export of the section data to easily
cooperate with other software packages.
|
| Feature Lines
- Easy to use and powerful feature line generation,
based e.g. on tape lines and edges.
- Primitive definitions based on the ATOS scan
data.
- Accurate and reliable detection of different
hole shapes.
|
 |
|
|
Registration
- Pre-registration and best-fit registration (complete
data or selected areas) of measurement data to reference
data.
- Primitive based (RPS) alignment to CAD data.
|
| Inspection
- Calculation of deviations of reference data to
measured data, with predefined or customized color-coding.
|
 |
|
|
Automation
- Macro Functions can be recorded, edited and launched
to speed up repetitive steps in the digitizing process.
- Ready to integrate ATOS into a process e.g. inline
digitizing or an automated digitizing based on robot
handeling.
- Remote control unit to allow an efficient one
man digitizing of big objects.
|
| Hardware
- OpenGL based rendering for perfect display of
the high quality scan data.
- Dual CPU support to reduce the calculation time
and maximize the throughput.
- Two live images are displayed during digitizing,
making digitizing easy and give full control over
the system.
- Easy transportable ATOS II systems, based on a
powerful notebook PC (with FireWire).
