ATOS II - The Proven 3D Digitizer
OVERVIEW

ATOS II is used where maximum measuring quality is required or where difficult environmental conditions did not allow digitizing so far. This accurate high-resolution and user-friendly optical measuring system is just convincing.

An advanced projection technology guarantees high data quality with a minimum of noise. In addition, ATOS II provides for digitizing objects under difficult environmental conditions and for measuring shiny component surfaces.

ATOS II

Its light weight and its compact design allow for industrial applications even in areas that are difficult to access and provides for quickly adapting measuring volumes to the required detailed resolution.

Applications

  • Collecting object surface data for modeling with a computer, e.g. CAD, FEM analysis, etc.
  • Comparison of actual with CAD data, drawings or specimen
  • Fast replication of components (rapid prototyping or milling)
  • Digital Mock Up (DMU)

Features

  • Improved measuring of small object features and complex components
  • Adjustable residual noise of the measuring points
  • Measurement of objects difficult to reach (e.g. car interiors) thanks to a closer stand-off distance and a compact design
  • Robust against environmental influences like ambient light changes
  • Easy handling due to its light weight and small dimensions
  • Due to the sturdy system design no recalibration is required
  • Improved digitizing of shiny component surfaces
  • Quick adaptation to different measuring volumes
  • Various different measuring volumes as standard settings

ATOS II can also be operated with a notebook using the Fire Wire technology.

The easily transportable system can be checked in as flight luggage with the complete equipment being accommodated in one suitcase. For ATOS II, an off-the-shelf notebook is used.
Utilization and performance of the ATOS II Fire Wire are comparable to the ATOS II models 400 and 600.
